The Semarak International Journal of Political Science and Public Administration (SIJPSPA) is a scholarly journal publishing original research in all areas of political science and public administration aimed at exploring the latest knowledge and understanding in areas of Political Science including citizenship, governance, and politics, public policy, international relations, comparative politics, political methodology, and political theory. SIJPSPA also welcomes the latest research in public administration which covers all facets of public administration including public management, public policy, non-profit management, and public budgeting and finance.

All articles published in this journal are open access and freely available online, free to download, share and re-use. To cover the cost of providing open access, Semarak Ilmu charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) once an article is accepted for publication. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on the length of an article, tables, figures or supplementary data.
