Abstract

Terdapat jurang pembaharuan data terhadap senarai spesies makroalga di Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang, Pahang. Kajian kepelbagaian makroalga di Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang masih kurang dilakukan kerana kawasan ini kurang diteroka. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengenalpasti kepelbagaian makroalga di Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang, Pahang dan membandingkan komposisi makroalga dengan kajian-kajian lepas. Metodologi bagi kajian ini adalah menggunakan kaedah titik persampelan dalam kuadrat bulat. Hasil kajian ini merekodkan sebanyak 32 spesies makroalga. Secara keseluruhannya, spesies terbanyak dikenalpasti adalah daripada divisi Rhodophyta diikuti dengan divisi Chlorophyta dan divisi Phaeophyta. Perbezaan yang signifikan (p=0.03) telah dicatatkan antara stesen 1 dan stesen 2, yang mana nilai kepelbagaian makroalga pada stesen 2 (1308 individu) dan stesen 1 (127 individu). Perbandingan kesamaan spesies menggunakan Indeks Kesamaan Jaccard (IKJ) telah merekodkan nilai yang tinggi (0.247) antara kajian ini dengan kajian Rozaimi manakala nilai  yang rendah antara kajian ini dengan kajian Arina (0.088). Terdapat rekod baharu dalam kajian ini bagi Pulau Seri Buat iaitu Phyllodictyon anastomosans dan jumlah terkini makroalga bagi Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang, Pahang adalah sebanyak 96 spesies. Kajian ini telah berjaya menyenaraikan dan mengenal pasti kepelbagaian spesies makroalga di Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang. dan hasil daripada kajian ini dapat menyumbang kepada pangkalan data makroalga pada Taman Laut Malaysia untuk rujukan masa hadapan dan membantu dalam pemuliharaan makroalga.

There is a gap in data updates to the list of macroalgae species in Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang, Pahang. Studies on macroalgae diversity in Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang are still lacking because this area is less explored. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the diversity of macroalgae in Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang, Pahang and compare the composition of macroalgae with previous studies. The methodology for this study is to use the sampling point method in the square of a circle. The results of this study recorded a total of 32 species of macroalgae. Overall, the most species identified are from the Rhodophyta division followed by the Chlorophyta division and the Phaeophyta division. A significant difference (p=0.03) was recorded between station 1 and station 2, where the value of macroalgae diversity at station 2 (1308 individuals) and station 1 (127 individuals) was recorded. The comparison of species equality using the Jaccard Equality Index (IKJ) recorded a high value (0.247) between this study and Rozaimi's study while a low value between this study and the Arina’s study (0.088). There is a new record in this study for Pulau Seri Buat, namely Phyllodictyon anastomosans and the latest number of macroalgae for Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang, Pahang is 96 species. This study has successfully listed and identified the diversity of macroalgae species in Pulau Seri Buat-Sembilang. and the results of this study can contribute to the macroalgae database in the Malaysian Marine Park for future reference and assist in macroalgae conservation.
