In this study a GL-shaped new meta-atom is proposed for multi-band microwave applications. This analysis depicts that our design shows better performance than another existing meta-atom of the resonator and EMR. The new GL-shaped meta-atom reveals multi-band double negative properties in microwave region which is rarely uncommon to this field. DNG materials can span a broad spectrum of frequencies and exhibit a high effective medium ratio. This study discovered Z-axis performances where the EMR is high. The suggested unit cell structure shows the negative characteristics in the C, X, Ku and K band with high effective medium ratio of 5.74. The commercial electromagnetic simulation tool, Computer Simulation Technology (CST), was extensively employed to meticulously examine and scrutinize the operational characteristics and behavior of the meta-atoms.
