Abstract

Enteral nutrition is a nutrition therapy essential that provides a complete source of nutrition to malnutrition patients. Hence, dietitian will advise them for a complete diet. However, up to now, dietitians in Hospital Serdang are facing difficulties due to unsystematic storage information of enteral products, and they are required to memorize all the nutrients of the products. To overcome such issue, a MEP: Malaysia Enteral Product application for Dietitians was proposed to assist dietitian at Hospital Serdang. The MEP application was developed by using Agile methodology model. Agile was chosen because it is flexible and able to be modified if required. Functions such as searching, viewing, comparison and analyzing products were included. As an early observation, six dietitians from Hospital Serdang were testing the MEP. All respondents need to share their feedbacks by using a provided google form. Based on the feedbacks, all respondents agreed that the MEP application was able to provide precise enteral nutritional information and was able to reduce time, and energy during the evaluation and planning of enteral nutrition interventions for patients.
