Cloth simulation is a crucial component of many industries, including gaming, animation, VR, AR, and medical. The ability to create realistic simulations of natural motion has become a major area of interest for researchers, as it can enhance the immersive experience of these virtual environments. However, the process of producing high-quality cloth simulations that are interactive, stable, and include collision detection is an incredibly complex task. This paper aims to address this challenge by presenting a novel approach to collision detection for real-time cloth GPU simulation within the Unity3D platform. The research builds upon a wide variety of techniques suggested by numerous researchers in the field and provides a comprehensive survey of all collision detection techniques from a single viewpoint to cover all the relevant issues. Overall, this research highlights the importance of collision detection in cloth simulation and presents a valuable contribution to the field, offering new insights and techniques that can improve the quality and efficiency of virtual environments across a range of industries.
