By exploring key research questions, we investigate how AI chatbots streamline student inquiries, identify barriers to their effective use and suggest areas for further study. By shedding light on the complex landscape of AI chatbots in universities, this review aims to offer insights into the potential of AI-powered chatbots to enhance educational experience. Ultimately, our goal is to facilitate informed discussions and guide strategic initiatives for maximizing the benefits of AI-powered chatbots in universities.
