The Yellow transverse bars (YTB), a typical road element, can significantly affect the suspension systems of moving vehicles. The suspension system may experience significant oscillations when a vehicle crosses a YTB due to the abrupt change in stiffness. Both the passengers' discomfort and the suspension's component damage might result from these oscillations. This study uses a straightforward mathematical model to examine the effect of YTB on car suspension systems. The suspension system's mass, rigidity, and damping are all taken into account in the model, along with the YTB characteristics. According to the study's findings, the suspension system's oscillations caused by the YTB may be significantly decreased by making its parts more rigid. The findings of this study can be used to improve the design of vehicle suspension systems to reduce the impact of YTBs. This can lead to more comfortable and safer rides for passengers.
