Abstract

At this time the cost for energy is already significant in the operational costs of an accommodation in a tourist village. This research is a modelling analysis to obtain a Net Zero Energy system with the application of automation system in increasing energy savings for tourism accommodation in several tourist villages as a case study. The energy used is sourced from a combination of solar energy and electric national grid. Significant energy saving strategies and efforts in traditional Balinese buildings will also be analysed in this study. Further analysis of the data obtained will be compared with the reference green building model so that the model can be applied to achieve every traditional Balinese style building in implementing green building standards. The expected result of this research is to obtain an energy saving system with the Internet of Thing (IoT) application in Bali which is used as tourism accommodation as well as energy saving procedures from the aspect of equipment and occupant behaviour.
